HAPPY HOLY DAYS & HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009

Topics: General

I apologize for the site being dormant for such a long time. I have been trying to over come some glitches within the system. I have had help from the technicians and it seems that we are back on track again. Much has happened in the past few months and too much to write in one sitting but I will try to get you caught up.

Willie Crain appeared in court with his new attorneys seeking a new trial the week of December 15th. By mid afternoon, after several testified, Crain decided he did not want to be in Tampa but returned to Union Correctional Institute. Judge Black advised WC he would send him back but not before he signed a waiver to be in court. WC suggested that a conference call between him at Union Correctional and the trial in Tampa could be done. The judge said he didn't think that would happen. Tuesday December 16th WC departed the Hillsborough County Jail at 5:35 A.M. headed for home on Death Row.

It is the opinion of this writer that WC has convinced himself that certain guidelines were not followed and that he had inadequate counsel. After he interviewed with Mike Deeson I re-read the entire Sheriff's Office Report in regards to Amanda's disappearance and WC's arrest and knew that his trial would be a waste of the courts' time and money. WC must have realized it also after he heard several hours of testimony that proved his memory wrong.

He is where he belongs, on Death Row, and it is sad that he has been allowed to live this long after taking the life of an innocent child. It is said that cancer is consuming his body and maybe that is better than the death penalty. His suffering is daily and without anyone to care for him except for the State of Florida.

Willie, should have the opportunity to read this article, let it be known that should you decide to come back in a month or so to hear the results of the review, we will be sitting on the front row watching you. In fact each and every time you decide to have some petty argument brought before the courts, we will be there. Amanda will not be forgotten nor will we allow you to forget.
