08320162117_spack.jpgNew Tampa, Florida -- A New Tampa teacher has been arrested for having sex with a student.
45-year-old Mary Jo Spack, who worked as an honors English teacher at Freedom High School, is accused of taking two students from that school to a liquor store. She then allegedly drove the students, who are 17 and 18 years old, to the Howard Johnson Motel on Fowler Avenue, where police say they drank alcohol.

Detectives say three other students from Freedom High were also in the motel room. The 17-year-old admitted to having sex with Spack in the shower.

She is now charged with one count of unlawful sex with a minor and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Spack, who has had no prior disciplinary action, is suspended with pay until the school board meets in April.

DUH! How many teachers does it take to screw up a school system? It seems that these educated people would be getting the message that others are being caught and chances are, they will be too. Do they not read the papers and talk to other teachers about these other incidents. Are they so involved in their sordid thoughts they don't give thought to the consequences? Our society is in deep trouble. The lack of morals is unbelieveable. I guess this is what we get when we take God out of our sytems.

Unforunitely sex offenders no matter what sex they are have tunnel vision where their victims are concerned. They have such a strong urge to do what they do that nothing else matters. Society is definitely in trouble in more ways than one. I have always said that the day they took prayer out of schools the school system was in trouble. I worry about what will happen to my daughters and my grandkids if we keep going in the direction we are. God help us all.
