A 16-year-old girl was missing Saturday and authorities feared she might have left with a sex offender, police said.
New Orleans police issued an Amber Alert on Saturday to get the public's help in finding Kathleen Porter, who was reported missing that morning.
Detectives said Porter had been communicating online with a 27-year-old man. Police said the man could possibly be a sex offender.
Police said Porter may be with the man or in the Pensacola, Fla., area.
