COUEY SENTENCED TO DEATH
Topics: NewsJudge Howard sentenced John Couey to the DEATH PENALTY for the murder of Jessica Lunsford after reiterating each piece of evidence that carried great weight in determining Couey's fate. The courtroom packed with family members from both sides who exhibited no emotion at the announcement of the Death penalty. Sheriff Jeff Dawsey stood at the back wall watching the procedures and had several deputies present for security purposes. Couey's defense team had prepared a request for appeal and presented it to Judge Howard at the end of the sentencing.

Couldn't have happened to a more deserving person if you can even call him human. My thoughts go to Mark because he has a long road ahead of him. It will take many years to get the S O B to the death chamber and going through it ourselves I almost feel it would be better for Crain to get life so that we did not have to go through all of his stupid appeals. I wish Mark the best.
