Goodbye Tampa - Hello Lexington

Topics: General

100_2265.JPG"Amanda loved butterflies and the theme on correspondence and pictures depicts butterflies, usually seven as that was her age when she disappeared. Notice the butterfly painted on the truck. Purely coincidental when Roy rented the truck. Maybe that's her way of saying she is going with them?

By the time some of you read this, Roy and Sylvia will be on their way to their new home in Lexington, Kentucky. A lot of thought went into making this move but Roy and Sylvia believe it is for the best. Tampa has been home for many years and after the disappearance of Amanda it has been difficult to meet each day. Although Amanda's murderer has been placed on death row, they have never been able to lay her to rest with a proper burial. Roy and Sylvia will never forget all the good people in the Tampa Bay area that have stood by them through it all.

Roy will be going into business with his brother who owns a towing service. It is Roy's plan to open a automobile body repair shop in conjunction with his brother's business. Sylvia will take time to set up their new residence and eventually look for the opportunity to serve with an organization helping children, especially those dealing with missing children. The Amanda Brown Foundation will be headquartered in Lexington and the ABF Blog site will continue to be entered from Tampa.

The Tampa Bay area will miss Roy and Sylvia and wish them the best of luck in their new endeavor. Our quest here will be to continue to look for Amanda and hopefully one day, Roy and Sylvia will be called to return to Tampa to lay their daughter to rest.

May GOD Hold You in the Palm of HIS Hand!

God Bless You Both.

We just wanted to tell you how much we miss your friendship and miss your warped sense of humor. We are applying to rent a house tomorrow so wish us luck. We have been having trouble getting a wireless connection. I am so tired and Roy has so much to say but I have to go to bed because tomorrow is a big day. We will email you again soon. Love what you put on the website.
