Man charged in rape of 10-year-old girl
Topics: NewsNORTH PORT -- Police arrested a 52-year-old North Port man Tuesday on a felony county of sexual battery on a child under 12.
A 10-year-old girl told police Victor A. Lambert, an employee of PGT Industries in Venice, would pick her up from school, take her to his home, lock the door and rape her.
The girl told police the alleged abuse began taking place in January at Lambert's Milan Street home, according to the arrest affidavit.
There were "positive medical findings of sexual abuse," the report states.
After he was arrested, Lambert was also charged with unlawful possession of a concealed handcuff key and introduction of contraband into a county detention facility, both felonies.
He was held at the Sarasota County jail on $256,000 bail.

I know that the North Port authorities have sent his DNA to the lab to compare to Coralrose....haven't you?
