CHRISTOPHER BARRIOS MEMORIAL

Topics: General

ourlittleange1608.jpgThis memorial website was created to remember our dearest Christopher Michael Barrios who was born in Brunswick Georgia on January 2, 2001 and passed away on March 15, 2007 at the age of 6. You will live forever in our memories and hearts.

My stepson, Christopher Barrios Jr. went missing March 8, 2007. We searched, on our own, for about 2 hours knocking on everyone's door in our neighborhood hoping that he just lost track of time and didn't know it had already got dark outside. We then decided that it was time to call the cops for help. Our neighborhood soon filled with law enforcement searching everywhere. Volunteers from all over joined to help find our son. We prayed everyday for his safe return to us. Exactly a week later (March 15th) our worst fears had come true....the chief of police came to our house and told us that they had found our son a couple of miles from our house in a trash bag on the side of the road.

There are 4 people being charged with capital murder for the death our son. A man named George Edenfield - a register child molester, his mother, father and a family friend. I don't really want to go into all the details on what they did to our baby, just know that we will make sure that they pay for what they have done.

Christopher is survived by his father, Christopher Barrios Sr.; his step mom Paula Anderson; his birth mother Latrina Keith; 3 brothers, Jordan Barrios, Brevin Barrios and Laderek Keith; 1 sister, Valencia Dallas; 2 step brothers, Nathan Anderson and Austin Anderson; grandparents Sue and Luis Rodriguez, Geri Strickland Wadel and Sharon Mathis; uncles, Johnny Haymans, Frank Barrios and Charlie Barrios; and an aunt, Jodi Leyva.

There isnt a day that goes by since Christopher went missing that I don't think of him and his family. I think of him more and more everyday. I feel like they are my own family. I check the petition everyday to see the status and I look at pictures of Christopher and try to hold back the tears but cry anyway. I feel like we could do more for Christopher even though we are all the way in West Texas. Please, if there are more petitions we can sign or if there is anything else that we can do to help out please e-mail me we will do our best to make it happen. Christopher and his family are in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers always and forever.

Monique,
You are not alone with your feelings as all of us grieve the loss of such a beautiful child and the many others that are killed for no reason. Continue your prayers that Chrisopher's family will heal and senseless killings of innocent children will stop.
There is one thing you can do. We have left the information about murderbilia at the forefront of our site as it appears that the people with blood on their hands are now putting items for sale on the web. If you are as appalled as we are, tell your friends and contact your your senators and congressmen, requesting laws be enacted to stop people from making a profit from the crime they committed.

Thank you for caring,
Roy
