Posted 06 December 2006 01:04 AM Jenaye, there is a special event going on at Dallas White Park in North Port on this Sat night from about 4-10 PM. There is a Christmas parade at 5 down North Port BLVD to the park and stage entertainment and kiddie/family activities the entire evening. This is a no charge family event. You might want to check out the possibility of setting up a donation booth there, where lots of neighborhood people are. If interested contact co-ordinator Kathy Forsythe at the George Mullen Center at 426-8331 and explain what the fundraiser is all about. (My girls are dancing - that's how I have all the info)
The Amanda Brown foundation will be setting up a booth in front of Blockbuster on the corner of Sumter and Price Blvd. this Saturday around 12:15. It will diffently be ready by 12:30p.m. We have decided that 50% of all donations will go to the Fullwood children and the other 50% will go to the Amanda Brown Foundation. I hope to start these booths regularly in the future in all locations. If any on wants to donate please do so. There will be packets with varies information on different things. Please tell your friends and stop by in order for this foundation to work it needs donations and it takes the help from everyone. If you have any questions please e-mail or call Roy Brown. This man is so kind and still grieving. This is were my heart is, with these parent's who have to go through this horrible experience and then start lossing their homes and everything. Let's give something from the heart and help.
