2 SMRT 4U Campaign

Topics: General

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children have launched the 2 SMRT 4U campaign.

Its goal is to encourage teens to practice safe, smart habits when posting information on social networking Web sites. Teen Vogue magazine will play a vital role by disseminating information to its readers and creating awareness through an advertising campaign and dedicated Web site.

One major goal is to teach young people the dos and don'ts of using blogs and networking Web sites. Another goal is to give teens information which will enable them to use the Internet with confidence and avoid behavior that can lead to serious problems.

Awareness of the dangers lurking online is at the heart of the campaign and it gives teens the tools to deal with these perils.
